Wednesday already - I just can't believe how time gets away from me. We are having gloomy rainy weather here. We had a few days in the 90s and now 70s. I actually had to turn the air conditioner on Monday. You know it's going to be a hot day when you have every single window open and it's still warm in the morning when you get up. I'm not sure how hot it got, but I know somewhere in the 90s. One of the towns in our area has 11" of water from the rains. Roads are closed - it's crazy. Fortunately in the towns right around me as well as my village, we are ok. No flooding here as of yet. It goes from one extreme to the other. It's really humid, so my naturally curly hair is frizzy all over. It's a ponytail kind of day. I'm enjoying the quiet here, drinking my coffee and finally being able to blog. Hubby went to work, baby is sleeping.

It's weird without my other three kids here. They are having a good time though. It was hard to call Adelina on her birthday, not having her here. I've never been away from her on a birthday. It's hard to believe she is 7 now. I am going today to pick up her gifts at the store. We plan to have a cake and go out to eat when she and the boys come home, and a party at the park for her and her little friends. I am getting her a new bike and a few little things.

I am a little late, but Nancze and Susan tagged me and I didn't get a chance to blog. Sorry. Ok, 7 Random facts/habits about me...

1. I smoked for 16 years and I quit three months ago.
2. I am addicted to carbs I think - LOVE pizza, donuts, goldfish crackers, pretzels, bagels, breads - No, I will not give them up. I will just have to walk more.
3. I am a hopeless romantic - still believe in fairytales and happy endings, even though everyone says life isn't that way.
4. Addicted to Chocolate. I especially love Dark chocolate.
5. I was born to shop - just wasn't born into money!
6. I have psoriasis.
7. I love blackhills gold more than any gemstone, even diamonds.

I am a boring person, lol.

Ok - baby is up. Here's my

Thoughtful Troubled Sad

It's Friday! Where has the time gone? There's lots to read today, so please keep scrolling down ladies. My three kids went with their Dad on a vacation yesterday to Minnesota. I will be worried the entire time they are gone. I always worried, but I will worry extra now. After the tragedy last month, I will worry extra forever. I know they will have a great time, but they will be so far away. They come back on Father's Day. I thought that maybe hubby and I could do something while they are gone - it's hard to get a sitter for 4 kids and we don't do a lot most of the time. This way we only had baby to take with us. It ends up that someone at work quit, so guess what?!?!? Hubby isn't expecting time off for a while. UGHHH!! Guess Ariana and I will just find things to do. Hopefully the weather is nice and we can work in the yard and take walks to the park or something. Hit a few garage sales next weekend maybe.

I plan on doing some housework today and putting some more items for sale on ebay. I sold a few things, but figured out something that will definately change how I sell things in the future. I had the shipping set as calculated so that I made sure I didn't end up not receiving enough for shipping and profit. Well, I ended up paying extra on shipping for 2 transactions because that calculating thingy did wrong! I bearly made anything. I will from now on make sure that I take the item to the Post Office, find out exactly the shipping cost and then have people pay. The whole point of selling the stuff was for extra money for summer activities, air conditioning bill (I don't like hot, hot temps, so that runs when it gets over 85 here), and for school supplies. It gets expensive with four kids and being a SAHM. Oh well. Life is a learning experience. Here is my Friday Fun.

Which would be your idea of fun,…?

1. A mani/pedi or mountain biking? mani/pedi.
2. A day at the beach or a day on the slopes? A day at the beach.
3. Dinner at a 5 star restaurant or homecooking at a diner? homecooking at a diner.
4. Coffee and a good book at a coffee shop or a cold drink and a good book in the park? Coffee and/or a cold drink and a good book in the park. I love my coffee, but it depends on the weather outside. Inside I drink it every single day.
5. Musical theater a là Broadway or a movie in the theater? Never been to one, but I think Musical theater a là Broadway
6. An evening at the opera or a rock concert? a rock concert
7. Manilow or Metallica? Hmmm, neither?!?! LOLOL

Hi. It's been a while. Seems like yesterday when I last posted. This has been the worst thing I have ever experienced. I still can't believe it. The other boy from the accident died this weeek, so hubby's son is the only survivor. How horrible. I went to the funeral home with him to see his son that passed away and it was just aweful. It didn't even look like him and I had to walk away from the casket. We just saw him on Mother's Day on his graduation. To see him like that - it was beyond anything I could have been prepared for. The next day was the funeral and that was really hard. There was so many people that they had to have several downstairs viewing on tv and the upstairs they set up tons and tons of chairs, plus the pews were all full. The worst was at the cemetary. He had a military funeral - was in the army reserves for a year. When the guys from his platoon or whatver it's called, folded up the flag and handed it to the family just really made everyone cry harder. When the guns went off I jumped. I think the cemetary is the worst part because then you know that person is really gone and going to be buried. I will never ever forget that day. I can't imagine losing a child. I pray to God I never have to experience anything like this again. Everytime I go anywhere, I am stopped by someone or stared at. I am tired of people coming up to me at the store - the other day I was stopped six times in a very short time period. I talk about it all with hubby and my Mom, but I am just tired of hearing things from other people. I know most of them mean well, but some I know are just plain nosy. It's bad enough they stare at us when we go anywhere. Hubby, baby and I went out to eat last weekend and I wanted to smack them - stop staring! I know it's a tragedy and one that everyone around here notices and so many are effected by it, but enough is enough. Can you imagine what his surviving so is going through? Can you imagine if we are having that happening to us, how bad is it for the only survivor, the twin - hubby's son. Just thinking about his pain and suffering and all the family tears me up and brings so much pain to my heart. All the articles and cards we put in a box away for the baby when she grows up if she wants to know about it. Thankfully most of the condolences went to the Mom and Step-Dad's house.

During all of this I got to thinking, I haven't really lost anyone in my family or close friends since I was a kid. The only family funeral I was able to attend was my Grandfather in 1982. I was in 3rd grade I think. My Grandparents on my Dad's side - I really didn't know my Nonna at all, but my Nonnu - he never spoke English, but I saw him most every year as a kid when we went to New York to visit our family. Anyway, I didn't go to their funerals. We lived in Colorado - Nonna's was when I was in elementary school - I think in Kindergarten. Nonnu's was when I was in high school. Mom and Dad went back, but my brother's and I didn't get to go. I have been very fortunate in my life.

Ok - I have to talk about something else and change my train of thought. School was officially out Thursday, May 24th. Good Lord I will go crazy. They have already started and it's been only a week. The weather had not been warm enough, so the pool has been open one day. It's been storming - my flowers are trashed. I have been working really hard on the flower garden and I am so mad! I planted 2 salvia plants last year and they have grown probably 6 times the original size. I bought two more this year and planted those a few weeks ago, Violets last month, Mums a few weeks ago. They are so beat up - not sure if the mum's and new salvia will make it. The warmest it has gotten was 74 once in the past week or so. Finally today there is sunshine, but the wind has blown all week as well - that takes some of the warmth away. Half the time they couldn't go outside because of the weather - rain, thunderstorms kept them in and giving me more grey hairs. They went camping Memorial weekend with theird Dad and had only one nice day. It stormed that weekend too. We had power go out for 4 hours the night my flowers were trashed. YUCK!!!!

Today Ariana woke up at 6 am, so I decided to go grocery shopping, lol. Didn't even shower. Got dressed and went. Boy was that nice. No one at Super Wal-Mart. Woohoo!! So nice not to get interrupted. Now I am finally online and have just read and deleted 480 emails! Ughhh. Still have some to respond to, but so far, getting somewhat caught up.

I have signed the kids up in some things to keep them busy though. Giuseppe and Montana will be in a football camp this week over in the next town. Well city I guess. Four mornings from 10:30 to 12:30. Adelina will have t-ball Monday and Wednesday nights from 7 to 8 pm - 2 blocks from home here in our little village. They go with their Dad June 7 to 17th on a trip to Minnesota. The 18th Adelina will be in a two day Volleyball camp from 8 am to Noon in the next city. The 20th she will be in a 4-H camp - that was only $4!!! 12:30 to 4pm. The 22nd the boys will be in a 4-H camp from 10am to 4pm. That was $5. In July for 3 weeks the boys will be in full contact Youth Football. That's going to be every weeknight from 7 to 8:30. That will be nice if it's hot out. They will go to the pool every afternoon if it warms up. They love that. You can't get them out of the pool. I have some plans too - I printed tons of things online - coloring pages, puzzles, workbooks, math problems, for all the kids. The boys requested some things on certain states, so I got those printed off too. They also picked out a book to do a book report on. I told them they will use their brains this summer - not just drive me crazy, lol. I plan on a few "field trips" also. We are going on a Bug Safari. We have 2 nets, three bug catchers and a little paper for each with bugs pictures so we can mark off what we find, and then some coloring pages. I am going to take them to a local museum, some picnics, etc. I will squeeze online time in during baby naps, hopefully early mornings and weekend when hubby is working. We are going to take a little 2 or 3 day trip as well, hopefully. Last year we went to Omaha and visited the zoo, Children's musuem - can't remember what else off the top of my head. They always take longs trips with their Dad, so we like to take little trips around Nebraska to see things we haven't seen yet. I also got the kids each a journal with a foam cover. We are going to decorate them and they can keep a journal of their summer.

one day late
